University of Rijeka, in collaboration with the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education and within the Croatian presidency over the Council of the European Union, is organizing video conference “The Role of Cultural Heritage in Socio-Economic Development and Preservation of Democratic Values – HERItage” that will be held from June 15 to June 18, 2020 on the Zoom platform.
The conference, which was originally supposed to take place on March 11-13, 2020 is financed through EU programme Horizon 2020. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the conference had to be cancelled and now we have transformed it into a virtual meeting with a radically reduced program but with more participants. We have turned the original three-day conference with more than 300 speakers into four video conferences with max. 6 speakers per panel.
The relevant information about both the virtual and the initially planned conferences, including the program and the keynote speakers, can be found at the official conference website.
If you wish to participate in the conference, please register on the following link here, until June 12, 2020.
The virtual conference will bring together not only prominent researchers but also European Commission representatives, policy-makers, regional stakeholders, local authorities, artists, and the various actors involved in ECOC Rijeka 2020 activities, as well as interested citizens.
