We emphasize that the co-financing rate of projects by LIFE programs is generally between 55% and 60%, depending on the tender.
Also, on April 30, 2020, the European Commission is organizing a Virtual Information and Networking Day on LIFE tenders for 2020, and more information can be found here.
Due to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the LIFE program has introduced many measures to facilitate the application and participation in currently open tenders, some of which are highlighted here:
- All application deadlines are extended by one month.
- Applicants can register for a brief discussion of their project concept with one of the LIFE project advisors.
- All projects will have the opportunity to financially support local initiatives that can contribute to the goal of the project.
Some new measures have also been announced, so all applicants are invited to revisit the official web pages at the end of April to check for any changes in the tender and possible new measures.
