Professor Osama A. Jannadi, Ph.D., Rector of the University of Business and Technology, Jeddah, Saudia Arabia, visited the University of Rijeka Rectorate on Friday, January 24th, 2020. Rector Jannadi was accompanied by Prof. Hoda Mansour, Ph.D., Professor at the UBT Jeddah.
Rector Jannadi was welcomed by Prof. Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Ph.D., UNIRI Rector, Prof. Alen Host, Ph.D., Dean of the UNIRI Faculty of Economics and Business, Prof. Saša Žiković, Ph.D., Vice-Dean for Science and International Strategic Partnerships, UNIRI Faculty of Economics and Business, Prof. Duško Pavletić, Ph.D., Dean of the UNIRI Faculty of Engineering, and Ms. Nina Kolaković, from the Rector’s Office.
Madam Rector Prijić-Samaržija opened the meeting with a brief introduction about the University of Rijeka, while Rector Jannadi presented his institution, work, activities, and fields of interest.
Following Prof. Mansour’s stay in Rijeka last year, as part of institutional financing of the internationalization of science and artists through the project of incoming mobility of eminent scientists, artists and teachers, Deans Host and Pavletić stated possible avenues of collaboration from the perspective of their respective faculties.
Respective Rectors Jannadi and Prijić-Samaržija and Dean Host signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of improving current cooperation and establishing new forms of cooperation, as well as fostering the development of good relations between our two countries, societies cultures, and education systems.
After the official part of the meeting, Rector Jannadi signed in the Book of Honorary Guests.
