Second session of the 3rd UEFA Football Law Program

In the period from 10th to 14th February, the UNIRI Faculty of Law was hosting and co-organizing the 2nd session of the prestigious UEFA education program for legal specialists called the UEFA Football Law Program. It is an educational program in the field of sports law in football and it is designed for legal specialists or senior executives working on legal issues in national associations, football clubs, players’ unions, leagues, and law firms.

It comprises four week-long sessions held at four different locations: Lausanne (CAS headquarters), Nyon, Switzerland (UEFA headquarters) and in addition to Rijeka, the host cities are Istanbul (Turkey) and Venice (Italy).

The first day of the program was held at the Croatian Football Federation headquarters in Zagreb while the other session days were organized in Rijeka at the Faculty of Law and on Thursday 13th February 2020 at the HNK Rijeka Stadium and Training Centre. The topic of the second session was the transfer system in football with speakers, as esteemed lawyers, coming from FIFA, UEFA, the English Football Association and CAS arbitrators.

The support for such an important event held in Rijeka and at the University of Rijeka was given by the Croatian Football Federation, HNK Rijeka, Kvarner Region Tourist Board and the City of Rijeka.
